People are people, color, origin, location is not what counts, it is the inner self and a persons inner beauty that qualifies them for friendship. I have a god sister that is from St Thomas and is of African decent. I have a very dear friend who is like a brother to our family who is of African decent. I have had many friends that are from Asia, the middle east, South America and other places. As I have been taught beauty is only skin deep, if it does not radiate from within! Although I know that our heritage dictates a lot about who were are and how we think, we are all children of God and in this knowledge of mine, I believe that if the right person was of a different nationality or race than me, that I would be able to embrace this difference with gracefulness, humility and appreciation.
