Given up on Chance Meetings Before the big fat "recession" I was able to meet people through colleagues or friends of colleagues at happy hours, work events, etc. Since the downturn, I've had to turn to online dating sites and unfortunately they are loaded with losers...I'm NOT saying YOU are a loser, just saying that there's a higher chance that you would be than not by meeting online than by chance in person.
