You make my heart sing when I hear your voice
You make me smile without even trying
I don't mind your smelly socks and you don't mind my make up free mornings!
You laugh - a lot
The butterflies tumble around my stomach when you reach to just touch my hand
There is nothing we can't talk about, but it doesn't matter if we can't talk at all sometimes
You eyes hold mine and seek mine - your gaze doesn't want to wander too far
You are strong in all senses, you can hold me, lift me and lift my spirits until they soar and somehow, though I am small, you know I am there to hold you up too
There is no need to have a permanent grin or song, dark days are ok too
Your warmth fills the room and makes me comfortable
There is no fear, no insecurity, the trust means we can swim an ocean away and yet know that the other won't stray into rocks or betray if they spot bright lights
You have happily had your wild times and now seek a different sort of lifelong adventure holding someones hand for the journey
We never need to wear our masks
There is a shared future, we are travelling the same path and it feels good

But hey, if you just smile a lot, give great hugs, are stronger and bigger than me, like a glass or two of wine until we are just talking a bit of rubbish, are happy in yourself and sort of really like me in a kind, truthful way, then I honestly wouldn't care if you have grey hair, a beer belly, a moped instead of a racing car, eat bannas until they come out of your ears and collect moths.. (though I might be a bit concerned for the moths...) I guess it all comes down to chemistry and the L word...
