There is just something about... I believe God is preparing the perfect man for me & getting me ready for him. Perhaps he is here? I am 50, Christian, a mixed media artist, writer, mother, grandmother, traveler, and student of life.
Writing is as necessary as air to me. Presently I am learning about the opportunities on the internet to express myself. This task is much greater than I ever imagined. I am up the challenge!
Another passion of mine is art. I love to make ugly things pretty. What this means to me is that I love recycling items that most would call junk. Not I. An old something or other gets my creative juices flowing! My motto is, "I live to create pretty things that touch the spirit and inspire all who take a moment to stop and see the beauty that is art." For me there is no greater joy than the look in a persons eye when my art touches them.
Career wise, I have worn many hats. Far too many to name them all. Here is a small sampling; (senior) mental health and (unit) chemical dependency counselor, job developer/case manager, aids and life skills educator, & dispatcher in a variety of industries. I also co-owned a hair salon, general contracting company and a tattoo shop.
I live an interesting life! I love to travel. The means by which I do so is what sets me apart from the typical traveler. I've traveled all over the USA in RVs, personal vehicles and hitchhiking with NOTHING but the clothes on my back! (I learned a lot from those experiences!)
I would not change a day or moment of my life. I know that whatever struggles come my way make me a stronger woman. God is at the helm so I don't worry. After all is said and done, what matters most to me is that I am a Christian woman...ever seeking to stay in God's light!
What I am looking for in a man is integrity, dignity, knows how to communicate with logic and reason, knows who he is, will not hide behind or in the past, cares about feelings and being nice, BECAUSE NICE MATTERS ALOT!
