I am a recent college graduate with a BA in History. I am currently back in school working on my license to teach and I am working on getting an endorsement in ELL. I plan on teaching Histor and ELL in grades 7-12. I will be teaching in the spring of 2012. History is extremely interesting to me and I believe if we as a species do not learn from our past mistakes, we are doomed to repeat them. The part of history that interests me the most is the Holocaust. This part of history shows humanity at is worst. You'd think we would have learned from this and other genocides that occured prior to the Holocaust and never repeat this horrible act again. This,however, is not the case. Humans can be slow learners because some of the most recent genocides such as the Cambodian genocide and Saddam Hussein's genocide against the Kurds tells me that we have yet to learn. I put this here because this interests me and I want to date a woman who can be serious and have serious conversations with me.

My hope is to become a great history teacher and to show people that history does matter. As previously stated I believe that history is important because if we forget the past we are doomed to repeat it. I want to teach people about our past mistakes in order to hopefully create a brighter future for the next generation. I might be young, but I know what I want to do with my life and career. As previously stated I like any kinds of music. Mainly I love oldies music, old school R&B, and Mo Town. No offense but to me most of the music now is garbage. There are some good artists out there today though. In my spare time I like to read about historical events and science fiction.
