Hi , I was wondering just how many people Think that a friendship is a important part of a relationship. Why most time a relationship end and the friendship is over. or a Friendship end and seal any chance of a Relationship. Can one be in a long relationship and never attain friendship? Should the two be as one ? Just wondering how other's view a Friendship and a Relationship.

`Oh yes I have to be friends with the person I am in a a relationship with, how can you have a serious personal involvement with someone romantically and not be their friend? I am not talking about ---- rather I am talking about love. You can not love someone and not be their friend.

I think that before a relationship is even established, you have to have some sort of a foundation to build on, once that is established, then you're on your way to having a loving relationship.

I totally feel where you're coming from beautiful. I believe that most people don't really invest the time or mental and emotional energy to build a solid friendship. To me when you're a true friend you are there for that person no matter what. Even when you're upset with your friend, you should be open enough to talk to them and work out your differences. It's a very crucial line with going from friendship to relationship. To keep it real, once you introduce S-- and s----l intimacy into your friendship it can change. Emotionally you may lose the ability to just be a friend without having it clouded with deeper feelings. I personally feel that the person you're in a relationship with should be your best friend. Read my post on S-- and dating and you'll see what I'm saying. :)
